Engagement model

How we work with Magento teams

Audit with real access, a prioritised roadmap, tickets your Magento developers can ship, and reporting that cares about organic revenue.

Magento SEO fails in delivery more often than in diagnosis. The fix for uncontrolled filter URLs or a broken canonical policy is often known within a week. Shipping it can take a quarter because it sits behind a Magento release cycle, a busy theme team, and catalogue freezes. Our engagement model assumes that reality.

We are not a brochure vendor. We are a Magento SEO agency partner that expects to talk to developers, read staging HTML, and verify what production actually serves after full page cache warms. If your organisation cannot grant any path to implementation, say so early. We would rather resize scope than pretend a slide deck changes robots.txt.

  1. Phase 1

    Audit and access

We start with the store URL, edition, theme, catalogue scale, and constraints. Access ideally includes Magento admin (or a guided session), Google Search Console, analytics, staging, and logs when the catalogue is large. Without access, we can still do an external crawl, but Magento configuration questions stay guesswork longer than they should.

  2. Phase 2

    Prioritised roadmap

Findings become a register scored by organic revenue impact and Magento development effort. Faceted navigation waste, canonical conflicts, Core Web Vitals on money templates, and migration risks rise to the top when they earn it. A long unsorted PDF does not ship.

  3. Phase 3

    Execution with your Magento team

We write ticket-ready specs and work beside your developers or Magento agency. Some clients want us reviewing pull requests. Others keep us advisory. Either model beats throwing a report over a wall. Release freezes and indexer-sensitive deploys are part of the plan, not surprises.

  4. Phase 4

    Verification after deploy

After each meaningful release we re-crawl samples, check Search Console coverage, and re-measure Core Web Vitals on the templates that matter. Unverified changes create new duplicates. Verification is part of the engagement, not an optional extra slide.

  5. Phase 5

    Reporting tied to organic revenue

Monthly reporting emphasises organic revenue or converting landing pages where tracking allows, plus index health and template performance. Rankings appear when they relate to commercial URLs. Vanity traffic without revenue context is not the north star.

What access usually includes

Not every item is mandatory on day one. More access means fewer assumptions.

  • Magento admin or structured walkthroughs of SEO, catalogue, and store-view settings
  • Staging with a recent catalogue snapshot and anonymous storefront access
  • Google Search Console (and GA4 where revenue reporting matters)
  • Repo or pull request visibility when we review implementation
  • Server or CDN logs for large catalogues with crawl-budget questions

Security policies vary. We can work with least-privilege accounts, VPN access, and short-lived credentials. Client admin, Search Console, and staging access are removed after an engagement according to your offboarding process. Details sit in the privacy policy.

Cadence is typically weekly or biweekly working sessions during active sprints, plus a monthly report. Adobe Commerce programmes with formal change boards get tickets sized for that governance. Open Source teams with faster releases can move quicker when the backlog is clear.

Services are modular. A migration may dominate for a quarter. A Core Web Vitals pass may lead after a Hyva rebuild. Browse Magento SEO services for workstream detail, knowing delivery still uses this shared model.

Scoping produces a custom quote. There is no public pricing table because a 3,000-SKU Hyva store and a multi-website Adobe Commerce catalogue are not the same engagement. Cost questions route through contact.

What we expect from your side

Someone who can prioritise Magento development time. SEO recommendations that never enter a sprint board do not change organic revenue. We will say plainly when implementation is the bottleneck.

A willingness to decide URL policy. Allowlists, canonical winners, and redirect targets are decisions. We bring options and Magento consequences. Stakeholders still choose.

Honest analytics. If organic revenue cannot be seen, we report what we can and name the gap. We do not invent conversion stories.
